Welcome to Colorado Springs

The Colorado Springs area has a vast array of local attractions to choose from. When vititing the secnic Pikes Peak  their are several ways to reach the top. You can take the scenic way to the top with the Manitou and Pikes Railway which will give you views that you can not see anywhere else or you might want to hike to the top on the marked trails. If hiking, plan for this to take several hours and for the weather conditions to change frequently so be prepared for much cooler temps on the way up from where you started. If hiking you might also consider having some one pick you up at the top for the return back down the mountain. You can also take you car and drive to the top while enjoying the scenery along the way.

Colorado Springs is also home to the Air Force Academy which you can visit and see the Academy grounds and building. The Air Force Academy Chapel has a unique stucturial design with stained glass that is quite spectacular.

The Manituo Cliff Dwelling is located on Highway 24 going towards Woodland Park and offers a chance to see the lifestyle of the people living at this period of time and just a little more up the road you can visit the Cave of The Winds and explore the under ground caves.

Back in Colorado Springs located at 1805 N 30 St you can visit the world famous Garden of The Gods. Here they have a visitor center and from there you can drive and explore the many trails that are available to you. Be sure and get several pictures of the unique rock formations throughout including Kissing Camels and Balanced Rock.

If you are interested in pottery be sure and visit the famous Van Briggle Art Pottery and see the unique pottery and the history on how it was made.

For the sports enthusiast be sure and visit the Olympic Training Center located at 1750 E Boulder and the take the guided tour of the complex.
